“We сlearly understand the situation at the frontlines and ready to make decisions”: Rustem Umerov conducted a work trip to the frontlines

Rustem Umerov told about his work trip to the frontlines.

Ukraine’s Defense Minister Rustem Umerov conducted an important work trip to the frontlines, as reported by the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine.

Rustem Umerov reported that he spent the whole day in the brigades fighting in the Donetsk and Luhansk regions.

“We honestly discuss frontline challenges with unit commanders. We help to find the necessary solutions. We do not close our eyes to problems. We clearly understand the situation at the front and are ready to make decisions,” the Minister of Defense said.

According to Rustem Umerov, each head of the military administration must be in constant contact with the units. “In order to understand the situation on the front lines and support commanders, the Commander-in-Chief and I regularly visit combat brigades. Obtaining information about opportunities, management problems, and the needs of units firsthand allows for better and faster decision-making. This is the key to winning dynamic warfare. Our task is to create a capability and build a system that will give us an advantage over the enemy,” the Minister of Defense added.

“I see how Commander-in-Chief Syrskyi regularly works with units “in the fields”. He lives the war, he makes the decisions, and he cares for the soldiers. I am grateful to the Commander-in-Chief for his conscientious daily work. The units need to see that we are with them. And we will be there until victory, no matter how difficult it is along the way. We act as one team. United for victory,” Rustem Umerov said.

As reported earlier, Rustem Umerov, together with the commander-in-Chief of the AFU Colonel General Oleksandr Syrskyi, met with the British counterpart, Grant Shapps, and the Chief of the Defence Staff of the United Kingdom, Admiral Sir Tony Radakin. They discussed the priority needs of Ukraine’s defence forces. Commander-in-Chief Oleksandr Syrskyi provided an update on the situation on the frontlines and the enemy’s recent activity.
