France orders 100 remotely piloted ammunition from Delair for Ukraine.
France has ordered 100 unmanned aerial vehicles from Delair for Ukrainian military. The drones are set to be sent to Ukraine as early as this summer. This was announced by French Minister of Defense Sébastien Lecornu on Twitter.
“Thanks to France’s innovative program, we are ordering 100 remotely piloted ammunition from Delair, which will arrive in Ukraine this summer,” Lecornu wrote.
According to him, the French military-industrial complex will receive orders for the production of two thousand such drones for the French and Ukrainian armies.
“In total, two thousand remotely piloted drones will be ordered in our defense industry. For the needs of our troops and the needs of Ukraine,” Lecornu noted.
The company Delair manufactures several models of reconnaissance drones with a flight range from 8 to 100 km. Drones are typically designed for information gathering, monitoring, and reconnaissance tasks.
Lecornu did not specify which drones the Armed Forces of Ukraine will receive. However, judging by the published photos, it is the Delair DT46 model. The aircraft-type drone can fly approximately 100 km and carry payloads of up to 5 kg, while being capable of landing in a fully autonomous mode on a landing pad measuring 80 by 20 meters.
