Ukrainian industry has increased its pace of work due to the stable operation of the energy system.
The stability and uninterrupted supply of electricity, ensured by a successful large-scale repair campaign in the energy sector coordinated by the Ministry of Energy, have allowed Ukrainian industry to increase its pace of work, as informed by the Ministry of Energy.
During November to February of 2023-2024, despite the wartime challenges, industrial electricity consumption reached approximately 9.38 billion kWh. This represents an increase of over 23% compared to the same period the previous year (7.61 billion kWh). Specifically, in November 2023, the growth was 25.75% (compared to the same period the previous year), in December – 37.56%, in January 2024 – 27.58%, and in February – 6.17%.
“The development of industry and consequently the economy is impossible without the stable operation of the energy system. This is primarily ensured by large-scale repairs in the energy sector, which will continue in the future, and by our military who defend the infrastructure from enemy attacks. We are working to ensure that despite the war, our consumers continue to have reliable and uninterrupted electricity supply,” said Ukrainian Minister of Energy German Galushchenko.
The Ministry of Energy also revealed that electricity consumption by household consumers increased by almost 12%.
